Meet The Staff

Michael J. Shortall Jr along with his wife Erin and daughter Madeline are extremely excited and proud to be the second generation of Reliable Auto. Michael became President Nov 30th of 2018. He joined Reliable December of 2001 after graduating from Northwood University in Midland, MI with a bachelors degree in Automotive Marketing/Business Management.

Michael and Sue Shortall opened Reliable Auto Sales of Sturgeon Bay January of 1981. They withheld the test of time and overcame many obstacles in the 38 years. Including economic ups and downs. Competition coming and going. Internet gaining major headway. All while raising five children. They were a team, stuck by each other each and every day and ALWAYS did the right thing no matter what to make sure the customers that spent their hard earned money with us were satisfied. The example they set and what that has done for Reliable's reputation and health of a company will forever continue. We are so thankful and blessed to see Reliable move forward under the next generation.

Nick has been with Reliable Auto Since 1998. His entire working career has been dedicated to the car industry and Reliable. He is well known throughout Door County as the most patient and kind individual you could possibly encounter in the business. Honesty, Integrity, Helpfulness, and always willing to go the Extra Mile for anyone. We are very proud to have Nick represent our company each and every day.

Joan joined Reliable in July of 2020 after retiring from her full time career at Door County Medical Center. She has brought so much knowledge and insight into moving our company into the digital world we live in. We are so thankful to have her!

We are proud to announce Brennen as Reliable's newest team member. He has been in the car industry here in Sturgeon Bay since January of 2018. He has an excellent reputation in his home town of Algoma in Kewaunee County which reflects the same values as what Reliable stands for. Honesty, Patience, Kindness, Helpful, and NO PRESSURE on the consumer. We are here to help and Brennen will be happy to assist you.
